Cutting Board care tips

WASH
Handwash your board with warm soapy water. Not extremely hot water. Lean up to dry or towel dry.
Do not leave soaking in water, or lying flat to dry—wood can warp or split. Never put your board in the dishwasher.

OIL
After every wash, apply mineral oil to remoisten the wood. Mineral oil is inexpensive to purchase and is food safe. Mineral oil does not go rancid like other oils, such as olive oil.
Even if you don’t use your board regularly, it needs to be oiled when dry. Even dry air in your house can cause your board to crack overtime.
